MVP Player Awards
MVP Player Awards recognize those players who achieved above and beyond all other players from all the LI UPA Divisions during the Season for their League night teams.
The Grand MVP Award will be given to the best of the best of all the MVP Players.
Awards will be given out at the end of the season during the Tri Team Challenges. Each Speed 1 through 10 will have an MVP Player Award in both 8 Ball and 9 Ball separately. There will only be one Grand MVP award for each 8 Ball and 9 Ball. The MVP awards will be $50 cash or gift certificates. The Grand MVP awards will be $100 cash or gift certificates.
Any active player in the season can become the MVP based on the following:
- Player must be an active member with at least 6 matches played in the season.
- MVP Ranking will be the Player’s average points per game computed over the entire season.
- Any Player that moves in speed during the season will place in the MVP category of the season’s end speed. Ranking will still be the Player’s average points per game computed over the entire season.
- Tie breaker in Speed categories 1 through 10 will go to the player with the highest ranking shown on the UPA Player’s Dashboards.
The Grand MVP award will go the MVP with the best average of all Speeds 1 through 10 in both 8 Ball and 9 Ball. The tie breaker, if needed will go to the player with the highest ranking (adjusted for player’s speed pool size) shown on the UPA Player’s Dashboards.
